From humble beginnings to a trusted partner
It all started on a warm summer evening. One of our founders, after a long day, returned to their bike only to find that it had been stolen. The frustration of that moment was not just about the loss of the bike, but the realization that bike theft was all too common in urban environments. It was then that the seed for Pedaly was planted.
What began as a personal setback quickly turned into a burning desire to create a better, more secure way to park bikes. But it wasn’t just about preventing theft—it was about making cycling more accessible, convenient, and sustainable for everyone. We believed that cities should be designed to encourage cycling, not just as a mode of transportation, but as a lifestyle.
In 2019, Pedaly was born with the goal of revolutionizing urban mobility. From that single stolen bike, we envisioned a smart, secure bike parking system that could serve cyclists and communities alike. What began as a small team with a shared vision has grown into a company with a mission to make urban transportation greener and smarter.
We started by rolling out the first bike parking stations, quickly learning from the experiences of our users and refining our solutions. Our commitment to sustainability, security, and innovation laid the foundation for Pedaly’s growth. As the years went by, we earned the trust of over 100 businesses and municipalities, helping them build more bike-friendly cities.
Today, Pedaly is not just a solution for safer bike parking, but a partner in creating cities that are greener, more sustainable, and smarter for the future. From the frustration of one stolen bike to transforming urban landscapes, our journey has only just begun. We’re excited to continue our mission—empowering cities and people to embrace a more sustainable, connected, and bike-friendly future, one station at a time.
The creation of Pedaly was inspired by a straightforward vision – to create a safer, better everyday life for cyclists. We aimed to eliminate bike theft worries and offer secure, accessible solutions, allowing cyclists to focus on their ride, not whether their bike would be there when they returned. This fundamental idea continues to drive us to this day.
